Broker

Singer songwriter Broker was born in Glasgow but spent his early years in Aberdeen around the time of the oil boom. That brought lots of Texans in stetson hats pouring into the city and they brought their country music with them. Broker's dad was seduced by the likes of Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell and Dolly Parton pretty quickly and before long their stuff was all that was playing on the music centre. Years later, when Broker bought his first guitar, country was all that would come out of it.

The first 50 or so songs he wrote were terrible, so he retired for a few years. But the advent of cheap home computer recording software happened to coincide with a bleak patch in his life and a consequent renewed interest in songwriting. Broker began to hit his stride.

Five years later, and back in Glasgow, he has a wealth of high quality recorded material - with Freshman acoustic guitars forming the basis of almost all of it. He plays an FA1JN and a FA300JEMS/S . And states that both Travis-pick very nicely!

The track below-right was recorded using a Freshman FA1JN.
